The HAVLYN Community Sharing Box Initiative
Small boxes. Big impact. Real community connections.
Across neighborhoods, schools, and local organizations, people are looking for simple ways to share, connect, and bring kindness back into everyday life.
The Community Sharing Box Initiative was created to support those who want to make that happen — locally, concretely, and with purpose.
This program is about empowering communities to create welcoming, shared spaces where books, ideas, and generosity can circulate freely.

What Is the Community Sharing Box Initiative?
Selected participants receive a Community Sharing Box provided by HAVLYN, at no cost, to help bring a community sharing project to life.
Each project is designed to:
Encourage sharing and access to essential items and resources
Strengthen neighborhood bonds
Create a positive, visible point of connection within the community
The initiative is intentionally simple: a well-built sharing box provided by HAVLYN, placed with care, and maintained by people who care.
The Partnership
This is a collaborative effort.
HAVLYN provides:
A Community Sharing Box (provided at no cost, including shipping)
Guidance and project alignment
Visibility for the initiative
Partners commit to:
Installing the box in an accessible public or semi-public location and maintaining it responsibly
Using it as a tool to foster sharing, respect, and community spirit
Providing photos and videos of the project to HAVLYN and granting permission for their use across HAVLYN’s website, Amazon brand content and marketing materials, and social media channels.
Why We’re Launching This Program
We believe meaningful change doesn’t always require large systems or complex programs.
Sometimes, it starts with a simple structure — and people willing to make it matter.
This initiative is our way of supporting local action, grassroots generosity, and real-world community engagement.

The Community Sharing Box Initiative can be seen as an alternative approach to community sharing projects, but it is not a Little Free Library program.

The initiative may be suitable for projects associated with:
Eagle Scout service projects
